The Touristic Enterprises Company (TEC) announced the launch of the fourth edition of Winter Wonderland Kuwait, set to open on Thursday, November 6, 2025. This season is going to take a giant leap, with Winter Wonderland unveiling the world’s largest indoor roller coaster. The arrival of “Höllenblitz”—a legendary ride from Europe—marks a new chapter in the country’s pursuit of world-class leisure and cements Winter Wonderland Kuwait as one of the region’s must-visit festive destinations.
The highlight of this year’s festivities is indisputably the largest roller coaster, which stretches a staggering 860 meters, making appearances in European fairs before finding a permanent home in Kuwait. Unlike regular roller coasters that tower outdoors, Höllenblitz is a fully indoor marvel, promising year-round excitement regardless of the fierce Gulf weather.
Themed around a mine-cart adventure reminiscent of Indiana Jones, the coaster plunges riders through dramatic artificial mountains, high-speed spirals, roaring waterfalls, suspension bridges, fog, fire, and even rotating gondolas. Adrenaline junkies are guaranteed an immersive sensory experience, while families and casual visitors can enjoy the spectacular visuals and safety of a ride wholly contained within a temperature-controlled environment.
Eng. Mohammed Al-Mughamis, Chief Architect of TEC, highlighted the major developments in the new season. “Winter Wonderland Kuwait spans an area of 129,000 square meters along the Arabian Gulf Street and includes more than 60 games, from high-speed roller coasters and children’s rides to skill-based attractions for all ages,” he said. He added, “This season features two horror castles, three children’s zones, Kuwait’s largest outdoor skating rink, a cinema game, and a new theater covering more than 3,000 square meters. The main gate design captures the spirit of winter, inspired by snow and mountain themes.
Winter Wonderland Kuwait, organized by the Touristic Enterprises Company (TEC), has rapidly become a cultural phenomenon since taking over the defunct Shaab Park. Each year, thousands of families and fun-seekers flock to its open gates, enjoying everything from rides and games to food stalls, live performances, and ice skating.
The addition of Höllenblitz is a reflection of TEC’s vision to evolve the country’s entertainment scene, bringing the best of international fairground innovations directly to Kuwait. This move aligns perfectly with the country’s burgeoning position as a regional destination for leisure, tourism, and family-friendly experiences. With previous seasons attracting upwards of 100,000 visitors, this year’s edition is projected to break records, drawing in young thrill-seekers and those eager for technological marvels.
As the fourth edition opens, the anticipation among the public is palpable. Social media is abuzz with sneak peeks, influencer tours, and official reels showcasing the intricate design and breathtaking scale of Höllenblitz. Early visitors have praised the ride as “unlike anything ever seen in the region,” expressing pride that Kuwait now boasts an attraction to inspire the world.
